Rosacea
Rosacea is a skin condition that causes redness to appear on the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. Redness can become more intense, with small blood vessel becoming visible over time. Our range of innovative treatments can effectively reduce the appearance of rosacea tailored to your skin type.
If left untreated, rosacea can develop into red solid bumps and even pus-filled spots. It can also cause the nose to swell and develop a bulbous appearance known as rhinophyma. It is also known that rosacea can affect the eyes, making them appear bloodshot, watery and feel irritated.
What causes Rosacea?
The majority of individuals who develop rosacea have fair skin tones and complexions that are prone to brushing. Although the causes of this condition are unknown, some associate the skin condition with the following:
- Blood vessel disorders
- Skin mites or fungus
- The malfunction of the connective tissue under the skin
- Psychological factors

The most common symptom of rosacea is redness on the skin. The redness mostly affects the facial areas with consistent redness and breakouts of the skin. It can be difficult to soothe the redness with at-home remedies. Rosacea can also spread to the eyes making them sore and irritated. We understand how difficult it can be to cover the redness associated with rosacea. We will work closely with you to create a tailored treatment plan.
At Pearl Aesthetics, we can use a combination of treatments to target and reduce the appearance of rosacea. There are some beneficial at home techniques we will suggest you do to help enhance your treatment results:
- Avoid sun and wind exposure
- Avoid hot and cold environments
- Refrain from any intensive exercising
- Reduce your alcohol consumption
- Try to reduce your emotional stress
Rosacea facials are perfect for any individual with sensitive or reactive skin. It has been specifically created to reduce inflammation and damage of the skin.
We will first assess your suitability during your consultation where we will assess the skin and create a tailored treatment plan for you.
We recommend you keep your skin clear for a minimum of 24 hours after your treatment. After your facial, your skin will appear more even with a natural glow. If you feel you do need to use makeup post treatment, please use a mineral based product that will not clog your pores.
Typically, we will recommend a facial every 2-4 weeks, depending on the condition of your skin and your desired results.
To help you maintain your optimal results, we will recommend an excellent skincare routine for you to use in-between your facials. We will discuss your skin needs and recommend the best products for your skin type during your consultation.
We hope this helps. If you have any other questions which aren’t listed, please feel free to email us at vd@pearlaesthetics.co.uk and we will get in touch with you as soon as we can. Aesthetics is our passion we love sharing our knowledge and expertise with our clients.
