Cheek Shaping
Dermal fillers are used to redefine and enhance the structural features of the cheeks, helping to improve the definition and fullness of the cheeks, while revitalising your skin to leave a refreshed and lifted complexion. Completed with a local injection, the treatment involves an administration of prescribed hyaluronic acid which is injected into the selected treatment areas.

What products are used during the treatment?
The filler Aliaxin AV will be primarily used to treat cheek enhancement. The filler will help to restore a youthful appearance to the face by filling the outer and inner parts of the upper cheeks. The treatment is safe, painless and with minimal risk of bruising or swelling.
Your practitioner will tailor the right treatment plan for you based on your desired results and individual physiology and facial structure.

As the injections are viewed as a medical treatment, they should be performed by a qualified professional in a medical environment. At the clinic, our team of highly experienced and highly qualified nurse prescribers ensure that every treatment we complete is safe, and of a high professional standard.
Typically, you can expect results to last for up to 12 months before repeat injections are required. This can vary from person to person, with some lasting between 9 and 12 months, and for some patients, the results can last longer. With repeated treatment after 12 months, results have been seen to last longer for a majority of patients due to tissue expansion.
Pricing starts from £400 for 1 ml.
Treatment and pricing will be tailored to your desired results. Offering £300/ml for any additional top-ups between 3-6 months after the initial treatment. All this will be covered with full transparency in your consultation with your practitioner. The quantity of the filler needed is determined by the intensity of the result you would like to achieve; the cost is then worked out based on how much dermal filler is needed.
Cheek enhancement is a one-off treatment. You should see the results immediately following the procedure. We do recommend further top-up treatments in the future, to maintain your desired appearance.
Results can be seen right away, however there may be localised swelling around the injected areas for a day or two. If unexpected swelling continues, please get in contact with your practitioner.
You may experience tenderness or soreness after your treatment. Any swelling should reduce within a few days. These side effects are completely normal and do not present concern. To help the treated area heal, avoid touching your cheeks, wearing makeup or partaking in physical exercise in the days following your treatment.
Every patient’s experience of pain is different, however, we will try our best to make the treatment as comfortable as possible for you. We use a local anaesthetic before treatment to reduce discomfort. Bruising around the injection site is possible but only a small percentage of patients develop small bruising. If bruising occurs, it is usually apparent at day 2-3 and will typically resolve over 5-10 days.
You may experience minor lumps, swelling, puffiness or bruising from treatment. Due to the delicate area being treated, these side effects are completely normal and could last for a few days.
It is highly recommended not to massage the inflamed areas as this might make it worse. As the filler is non-permanent, any side effects will improve and heal with time. If you’re concerned you can visit us or give us a call for advice.
Currently, no thorough research has been undertaken to conclude the side effect of cheek fillers in pregnant women. For this reason, we do not advise cheek enhancement procedures during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
The treatment is recommended for people between the ages of 18 and 60. Unfortunately, anyone under the age of 18 cannot receive this treatment.
It is against our Good Medical Practice ethics code and guidelines to definitely commit to treatments from emails and photos. For accurate advice and a tailored treatment plan, we ask for you to make a consultation appointment with us so we can provide the best service for you.
We hope this helps. If you have any other questions which aren’t listed please feel free to email us at vd@pearlaesthetics.co.uk and we will get in touch with you as soon as we can. Aesthetics is our passion we love sharing our knowledge and expertise with our clients.
