Why is this specific treatment required for the eye area?
The eye areas are particularly sensitive and have different anatomical characteristics compared to other areas on the body. For example, the skin is 5x thinner around the eyes, and it is a highly vascular area with multiple blood vessels and small capillaries. There are also 22 underlying periorbital muscles around the eye which are in continual use.
Treatment needs to be carefully considered and tailored to provide effective results.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on the condition of your skin, we typically recommend a course of 3-6 treatments within 6 to 12 weeks. We combine treatments, with a periocular peel being used first, followed by the transepidermal micro-needling treatment. The treatment will be followed by a recommended maintenance program once or twice a year.
Aftercare Advice
We will recommend an at-home treatment plan to further enhance and maintain your results. For a minimum of 5 hours after treatment, we ask that you do not:
Wash or expose the treated areas directly to heat or the sun
Engage in strenuous exercise that can cause sweating
Expose the treated areas to saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzi, or hot showers
You will be given a detailed aftercare leaflet post-treatment explaining everything you need to know.
How much does it cost?
Global Eyecon (Peel and Transepidermal session) – £100/session
Periocular peel (with mesotherapy) – £160/session
Treatment time: 45 – 60 minutes
Packages:
6 Global Eyecon – £570
6 Periocular Peels – £950
How soon can I start to see results?
Optimal results can be seen around a week after treatment, depending on what type of peel was used. After a peel the skin can be sensitive, if a deeper penetration peel has been used, the healing process will take longer.
Will I bruise?
Because the eye area is highly vascular, there is a small chance of bruising. Any bruising is typical and will heal within a couple of days.
Downtime
It can take a couple of days to recover, depending on the level of peel used on your skin. You may have slight redness after treatment, similar to a sunburn. We recommend the use of sun cream post-treatment and discourage the use of makeup immediately after treatment.
Will I see the results immediately?
After a peel, the skin is a little bit more sensitive. After a week, the results should be noticeable. This depends on what type of peel is been used. If the peel is of a deeper penetration, the healing process could take longer.
How long will the results last?
The improved tone and firmness will be last around 6-12 months depending the patient’s skin type and conditions. Home skin care maintenance program can enhance and prolong the desired results.
I'm pregnant, can I have Global Eyecon Treatment?
We do not advise these procedures during pregnancy or breast-feeding.
Could I have the Global Eyecon Treatment if I am not 18?
The treatment is recommended for people between the ages of 18 and 60. Unfortunately, anyone under the age of 18 cannot receive this treatment.
