Loss of Skin Firmness

Collagen and elastin are responsible for maintaining the firmness and elasticity of the skin. As we age, our production of collagen and elastin in the skin decreases, resulting in sagging, and a loss of firmness in the skin’s appearance.

Sagging skin can also occur from extreme weight loss, causing an excess of skin on the body.

We offer a range of skin tightening treatments to help improve loose or sagging skin with ultimate precision.

Loss of skin firmness symptoms?

Sagging skin is part of the natural process of ageing. The appearance of ageing can affect the face and neck in multiple ways:

  • Loose skin around the neck and lower face. As skin loses its elasticity in the area, sagging most commonly occurs within this area.
  • Fat cells under the chin can cause sagging of the skin.
  • Banding. The muscles in the neck can weaken, causing the vertical tissue cords to stretch resulting in the appearance of bands on the neck.
